Dana Schroeder, APRN, FNP-BC
Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner Intern
Dana Schroeder is excited to be a new provider at Chrysallis Wellness Center. At a young age, Dana witnessed multiple family members experience complex health issues including mental health disorders. By witnessing these events, Dana knew she wanted to be in the medical field to passionately and empathetically care for individuals in need.
Dana graduated in 2015 from Chamberlain College of Nursing in Addison, IL with her Bachelor’s Degree and became a Registered Nurse. While at Chamberlain College of Nursing, Dana was blessed to be part of a selected team of nursing students that participated in a medical mission’s trip to Brazil. In 2016, she decided to leave the cold Illinois weather behind and moved to sunny Florida to be closer to her parents. Since being in Florida, Dana has obtained acute care experience, including Medical Surgical and Outpatient Surgery, at previously known as HCA Doctors Hospital of Sarasota. She also has nursing experience in assisted living, memory care, and skilled nursing. To further pursue her nursing education, Dana obtained her Master’s Degree in Nursing-Family Nurse Practitioner Track in 2020 from Chamberlain University and is currently obtaining her post-Master’s certification in Psychiatric Mental Health at Walden University to become a certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. Dana’s passion in nursing is mental health, including dementia and Alzheimer’s.
In her down time, Dana enjoys spending time with her husband of five years, two fur baby dogs, and her parents. She loves spending time at the beach as it is her way of meditation and mini golfing.
